After carefully processing my visit too Soraya’s House of braids, I will share my experience. The first time I visited this shop.
*I arrived at 5:15 PM and was not greeted in the proper way.
* I was asked are you The 515 530 appointment
* After that, we began to talk about the Human here and I wanted to see their Human here because the owner stated that a pack of here is $50.
Do I want one pack of hair or two packs of hair now in one pack of hair is three bundles so in two packs of here is six bundles (I only got three bundles of hair, which was my own hair that I purchased). I informed her to use both packs of hair, which would be six bundles of hair. The owner stated how many packs do you want? I informed her two packs of hair.
The owner had me under the impression that I was buying a pack of hair (I was not).
* she informed me that buying one pack of here was $50 which makes the total price $250
This is the reason why I will never return To this shop ever again
One she rushed me to Pay because she had to leave
Two she was not friendly. Her customer service was terrible.
3, she wanted me to pay her while I was starting to get my hair done again because she had to leave
4, She hustled me out of my money I paid for my own Hair of $50 that I brought to the shop. She did not put the second pack of hair in my head.
5, I did not tip the women who completed my hair because the owner owe them $25 each for their tip. I informed the owner I wanted mid back length and I did not get that. My hair is Long, which is a little difficult for me for every day.
I informed the owner that I wanted a certain stylist and she did not give me the stylist that I request requested
6, Final closing. If the owner is rushing you to pay for your hair because she have to leave is very unprofessional. I was not as alert as I should have been in this process. But moving forward, I have learned a lesson. my head is done. I’ve gotten compliments but again I will never return to this shop again because of the owner.

Came here for Fulani braids and was really impressed. The parts are super neat! I’ve been getting my hair braided by the same person for years and she wasn’t available, so I tried Soraya’s and now I’m a forever client. The shop is calm and clean and all the braiders part really well

The owner is patient, charming and so are all her other employees. customer service is so good. Met brilliant ladies who braided me even while looking after her child which potreyed a strong aunce of motherhood and determination.
I would totally recommend you to do your braids here.

I got my hair done here on March 2nd, 2019. The woman who did my hair was very skilled and did a great job. However, the price! When the owner quoted me the price for the hair style I asked for, she explained the high cost was because of the number of box braids I wanted and the style. I did tip the woman who did my hair, she was patient, pleasant and professional. Though my hair came out very nice, it was very close to the style I asked for, but for $180.00 I was overcharged for what I got. For that kind of money, I expect perfection! Less than 1/3 of my hair has box braids, not the half of my head as was originally explained. They make you pay upfront for the service before you get your hair done.
I was charged for 4 buns of hair, the woman only used 2 1/2 of it. I was not refunded for the hair they kept. At most, this hair style should have been $130.00, hair included. I am not criticizing, I am stating exactly what happened. I would like to thank the woman who did my hair. Pics attached below.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. Please spare yourself the money you will be spending. The owner is extremely unprofessional and rude. She even yells at her employees in front of customers. Here are things to consider before going
1. Late. TWICE. This is my second time going and my second time they started my hair late. I asked for 8 am appointments. Twice. The first time when I got there on time, all of their chairs were full. I had to wait almost 3 hours. I didn’t leave until after 7 pm. The second time I was about 15 minutes late. But no braider was there to start me. And I waited over 2 hours.
2. I asked for knotless French curl braids. I had gotten them before. If you search instagram it’s a real thing. The owner basically fought with me denying that this was a real thing. So I just relented and got normal French curl braids. They turned out pretty, initially. However once I actually looked at them, I noted the ends were unraveling because they weren’t knotted correctly.
3. Scalp: this is the second time my scalp has been in pain. This second time I ended up taking my braids out only a week later. My scalp was itchy, raw and in pain. I’ve never experienced this with braids before.
4. Messaging: the only time they will answer your messages is to schedule an appointment. Good luck getting them to complain or ask about hair concerns AFTER they have your money.
